| Notes: | Shawl woven in Colinette space-dyed mohair/nylon, with natural and commericial dyed wefts. The fringes are knotted and beaded, and the centre has a natural-dyed viscose section to represent the butterfly's body. It goes with a machine embroidered carrying bag, which incorporates two layers of organza, with remnants from the butterfly shawl and caterpillar scarf trapped between the layers, then machined over, to decorate them further. The two were made for the 2016 WS&D annual competition "Insects" - the shawl and bag combined came second. Price is for bag and butterfly shawl together |
